College Showcase Feature Brackets
Teams and clubs that have provided consistent support and participation in EDP Soccer events are eligible to be selected to play in special brackets at EDP Showcases. These feature brackets are formed from 3-6 teams at each Spring and Fall EDP Showcase tournament.
Players are provided with shirts to identify their participation. Teams and players in these brackets can take advantage of extra exposure and mention in tournament schedules, plus additional access to college coaches from some of the top men’s and women’s soccer programs across the region.
College Coach Advisory Sessions:
Players and their parents also have the opportunity to participate in 30 to 60-minute informative sessions where they can interact and learn first-hand from college coaches. At these focused events, EDP Foundation staff and approximately 3-6 coaches will discuss the value of pursuing professional careers after high school through higher education options at a technical or trade school, and public or private community colleges and universities.
In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about the overall college soccer environment and engage directly with coaches in a Q&A session. Coaches will share tips and insights on how to apply to college, balance the pressures of athletics and academics, and enhance their success during the college recruiting process.
Participation:
Currently, there is no application period or process for this program, participation is invite-only. Selection criteria and eligibility is at the sole determination of the EDP Foundation Board with recommendations and advisement provided by EDP Soccer. Participating teams receive a 50% discount on registration, which is made possible by the EDP Foundation.
